SPRING HAS SPRUNG!!
Spring is when many people turn their attention to their lawns and gardens. Your lawn is coming out of its winter lull and its need’s increase. The Yard Stop Lawn & Pest Control division is here to meet your property’s needs.
As temperatures rise, so does your lawns water requirements. Established lawns should be watered one to two times a week, applying 1/2″-3/4 ” of water evenly. Your lawn will let you know if it needs more water, the leaf blades will begin to fold in half vertically and the color will begin to fade. If you are having irrigation issues, call our irrigation division and set up an appointment @352-368-7599
Your lawn will start growing vertically again as soil temperatures rise, it is important to mow your lawn at the proper height and to never mow off more then 1/3 of the leaf tissue as this will stress the grass.
St. Augustine- 3 1/2″- 4″ w/ the exception of dwarf cultivars 2 ½”
Make sure your mower is running properly and your blades are sharp. Mowing with dull blades will tear the leaf and leave a ragged look across the lawn. Did you know we also sell and service outdoor power equipment? Call 352-368-1005 to schedule any repairs or maintenance work for your equipment.
